Google has announced that you’ve to pay for uploading photos on Google Photos. It is very popular service since 2015 because of Google Photos unlimited storage policy.
Now Google Photos unlimited storage is coming to an end. From 1st June, you’ve to pay for Google Photos storage in case of any data above 15GB.
Google Photos storage still free up-to 15GB
But there is also a good news. The data uploaded on Google photos before 1st June is not subject to this 15GB limit. So, it is not immediately required to pay for Google Photos storage. You can decide later, to pay for this backup service or to left it.
According to Google’s officials, more than 4 trillion photos have been uploaded on Google Photos since 2015. Every week, more than 28 billion photos and videos are stored on Google Photos storage.
Keep in mind, this storage is shared across Gmail, Google Drive and Google Photos.
Google Photos launching new features
Google Photos will also launch a free tool in June 2021. This tool will highlight blurry and dark photos, large videos which you may want to delete to free up space.
If more space is required, you can buy extra Google One space starting from $1.99 in the US for 100GB storage. In case of paid membership, you’ll also get additional benefits like access to Google experts.
